His Excellency Ahmed Saad Al Homidi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines, participated in the celebrations held by the Presidential Palace, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in Manila, on the 126th independence anniversary of the Philippines. ​ This year's celebrations included a flag-raising, wreath-laying ceremony, civil and military parades at Rizal Park in Manila, in addition to a reception held at the Presidential Palace for Heads and of the Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations, hosted by His Excellency President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., President of the Philippines, and First Lady Mrs. Louise Araneta Marcos.

His Excellency Ahmed Saad Al Homidi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines, attended, on June 7, 2024, at Westin Manila Hotel, Mandaluyong City, the annual briefing organized by the office of His Excellency Mr. Gustavo Gonzalez, UN Resident Coordinator and in the Philippines. ​ During the meeting, views were exchanged between the United Nations agencies in the Philippines, and the Diplomatic Missions of the UN member states, on the achievements of the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework in the Philippines (UNSDCF) until 2023, and also the most features of the new framework for the years 2024 – 2028, were reviewed. The framework which directs the United Nations partnership with stakeholders in the Philippines to achieve the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

His Excellency Ahmed Saad Al-Humaidi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines, on Thursday, June 7, 2024, attended the opening ceremony of the handicrafts exhibition, which was held in the exhibition hall of the Philippine International Convention Center, as part of the country’s celebrations of the 126th Independence Day. ​ The guest of honor was the First Lady Lisa Marcos. In her speech, she welcomed the guests, thanked the supporters, and praised the creative effort of Filipino handicrafts, which represented a model of cultural diversity and peaceful coexistence for all segments of Filipino society.

His Excellency Ambassador Ahmed Saad Al-Homidi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines, in a celebration held by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), in Shangri-La - Makati, on Thursday, the date of May 30. 2024, received the award granted to the State of Qatar from Hon. Richard J. Gordon, (PRC) Chairman and CEO and Ms. Kate Forbes - President, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). the (Most Outstanding Humanitarian Award), that is reflecting Qatar humanitarian response of the (PRC) and its constant commitment to saving lives and supporting resilience in the face of adversity.
